After a long day of skiing (note the rosy cheeks), Josh relaxes in front of the television with sunglasses on.  I'm pretty sure no one ever questioned why he was wearing them, but I had to capture the moment...

Seeing this photo reminded me of how every time Allie and I would pose for a picture, she would place her cheek up against mine.  She did have her head wrapped up in the towel like me, but she was also stark naked underneath (as she was always at that age) and needed to be covered up for the photo...

...the stories they tell

The thing I love about candid, everyday photos are the stories they tell.  There are soooo many in this photo, noting the bracelets around Josh and Allie's left ankles (the five of us put them on before the boys went to camp and vowed not to cut them off until they returned)....Josh looking at Allie, and Allie looking at the camera, Allie enveloped by Josh, and why in the corner of the houseboat kitchen???

A family of monkeys

It seems as if we were a family of monkeys grooming each other, back in the good ole days of houseboating.  The kids would fight for the chance to shave Mike (yes, he really IS wearing a Speedo), and if it wasn't their day, they opted for washing someone else's hair...
