Our basement flooded earlier this week due to torrential downpours and it was crazy!  The water receded as quickly as it came, and other than a now carpet-less basement, you'd never know anything happened...

Spring Fever

It's that time of year again when the frogs invade our pond and the males serenade the females in an attempt to attract a mate.  It's been quite noisy over here.   Evidently, this fella already found his mate...

Lots of fish in a little pond...

A few years ago, Mike brought home a few fish to place in our pond.  We were told these fish were hearty, didn't require any care (feeding), and would survive the winters.  Year after year, we continue to be amazed that not only did they survive, but they multiply and thrive...

April Showers...

Driving up the driveway earlier, I noticed these blooms that I'm certain weren't there yesterday.  I particularly love the way the raindrops from this morning's storm are gently sitting on the surface of each bloom...
