Enjoying the sunset from the deck of a ship in the middle of the sea doesn't get any better... there's not much around except the water, the sun, the clouds, and an occasional boat...it feels like you're part of the sunset...

doorways
The quaint Caribbean island of Guadalupe was the perfect place to rent a scooter and explore.
As is typical, Mike drives and I hop on behind him with my camera on my shoulder, ready to holler "pull over" so I can snap pictures of anything that seems visually interesting to me. Mike seemed surprised that I asked him to pull over so I could shoot these particular images...perhaps my taste is changing...

Man Hole
We suspected that a pipe burst in the house yesterday, and Mike and Steve set out to investigate. Fortunately, Steve was able to fit into the crawl space to check things out and even video taped the problem on his iphone. Typically, I found this event photo worthy. Eventually, a plumber came out and fixed the problem...

Our crew is working their butts off in record low temperatures. About a foot of snow was shoveled out of the foundation the other day. Not much longer until we're "dried in" and under roof, and then the weather will not even be an issue...

Susu
I love the angle of this shot of Susu, the camel I rode in Israel. Changing your position/angle/persepective of your subject can make for an interesting shot...I knelt on the ground and shot upward, and this is Susu's portrait...

Old vs. New
Istanbul, Turkey provided so many contrasts between "old and new"...
I tried to be as inconspicuous as possible as I snapped pictures of ultra conservatively dressed women on the streets. Here, these two women ogling in the window of a modern jewelry store was a contrast I simply couldn't resist...

Colorful Candy
The street market in Yafo/Jaffa near Tel Aviv, Israel provided a kaleidoscope of hues for some colorful shots. Just print, frame, and hang to instantly brighten up a dull wall...

Telluride Storm
Many times ominous weather lends itself to some spectacular shots. While visiting Telluride, Colorado a couple summers ago, the weather was unseasonably cool as an incoming storm loomed over the mountains. The combination of the low clouds with the remaining sunlight in the foreground made for a beautifully lit image...
