My Orchid

My friend Jodi gave me a beautiful orchid several weeks ago.  I rarely have any (flowering) plants in my house because I lack a green thumb.  This plant however, is thriving and I'm becoming quite attached to it...

A white squirrel?

This white squirrel has become such a familiar sight in our backyard that we have failed to recognize how rare and unusual it is until recently.  Over the last couple weeks,  people at our home have been amazed to see this white squirrel, evidently never seeing one before.  Perhaps its because we also had one (or more) in our old neighborhood years ago that we feel like he's an old friend...
