The Pitcher

This pitcher is usually filled with Crystal Light, unless Allie "conveniently" forgets to refill it.  We've chosen not to battle about it anymore and it's become a joke.  This morning, as we were preparing to leave for Indiana University, I put the empty pitcher in the dishwasher, sadly realizing that it didn't need to be refilled...(as "So Far Away" by Carole King played on my ipod)...

Mykonos Pelican

Often seen strolling through the maze of white washed streets sits one of the famous pelicans of Mykonos (Greece).  I stood there and watched for a while because I wasn't convinced that it wasn't a statue.  After it moved, it hopped off its perch and waddled through an aisle of tables at a restaurant at the harbor.

Butterfly

This large black swallowtail butterfly was sitting on my deck as I let the dogs out.  It appeared to be injured and so I picked it up and put it on the patio table so my dogs wouldn't harm it.  When I came back a couple hours later, it was gone...

She's coming home!

After being gone for two months, Allie was supposed to come home tonight.  As I started writing this entry, I learned that chances are she won't make it until tomorrow morning due to bad weather in Atlanta...I guess tomorrow morning isn't that long from now?????
