Gentle Giants

Last evening at the music tent, there was the usual gathering of dogs, with the exception of these two behind us.   We had never heard of this breed before, "leonburger", and I was distracted by these two beauties for most of the evening.  The adult male was 180 pounds, and the 12 week old puppy was already 40 pounds and had doubled its weight in just two weeks...gentle giants...

A boy and his dog

Mother Nature

I snapped these last night not knowing exactly what I was looking at,  but I did know that it looked amazing.  I knew it wasn't a tornado, and a storm was approaching.  Now I know it's "virga" ("observable streaks or shafts of precipitation that fall from a cloud but evaporate before reaching the ground").
