Isn't she still 3?

It's a big week next week...Allie is graduating and then heading to camp in North Carolina as a counselor for the summer.  It's hard not to reminisce...Isn't she still 3 years old????

Summer Snowcaps

The color of Mike's shirt in this scene seems like it was planned, but it wasn't.  The snowcapped peaks are still evident in Aspen in July.  (7/2005)

Opening Day

While Uncle Bart was the first person at the family and friends event this past Saturday, this was truly Soho's first paying customer today on opening day.  Below, you'll see the restaurant bustling on its first day of business.  Believe it or not, I forgot my camera, so these pictures were taken with my Blackberry.

Saturday's friends and family event at Soho Sushi was a hit.  Look for Soho to open its doors for business tomorrow!

With amazingly capable and creative co-managers Steve Harman and Zach Weprin, Soho Sushi is very close to opening its doors to the public.  Mike and I were there today for the first employee meeting/training session and ate some fabulous sushi.  This is the sign/awning that hangs on the 4th street entrance...

hannah

I just got back from a quick trip to Detroit to visit with my family.  My great niece, Hannah, is now 21 months old, and so adorable, bright, and happy...she was a joy to be with.

Once a Buckeye, Always a Buckeye

Graduation is in the air, and I remembered this picture I snapped of Zach at his OSU commencement in June of 2008.

Zach was hugging this tree in The Oval, a clear indication of his conflicted feelings about leaving his beloved Buckeyes.

A friendly visit

Initially when this fella appeared on our back porch in Colorado, we were quite startled.  He comes back to peer in our window on occasion, and as long as we keep the dogs inside, it's actually nice to see him return!

Little creature

This little fella sat so still while I reached for my camera to take a picture of him.  He continued to sit patiently and allowed me to zoom closer and closer until he finally had enough of me....
