I love how dog friendly mountain towns are. This was in Telluride...

Karen Weprin: Several years ago, I took a couple classes at a local photography school in an attempt to gain some technical knowledge. I was a 40 year old woman surrounded by 18 year old multi pierced, multi tattooed, multi hair colored, and very artistic and talented students. While they were all shooting shadows, shapes, and light, I was shooting snapshots of my kids. I felt so out of place! I was fortunate to have a teacher who pulled me aside and said "never apologize for being a snapshot shooter, just be the best snapshot shooter you can be". This really encouraged me and I was finally able to stop apologizing for what I enjoyed photographing and sharing. Recently, it took the words of another wise woman who after I insisted I couldn't publicly share my photos because they weren't technically or artistically good enough, she suggested I simply post my favorite photos...hence karensfavoritephotos.blogspot.com.
